For the 15th MANGA award, a record 484 works were submitted from 76 countries and regions.

After the first round of selection with the cooperation of the association of manga publishers, the 15th Japan International MANGA Award Selection Committee, chaired by Ms. SATONAKA Machiko (manga artist), conducted a rigorous selection process.
